Gatka the traditional martial art of the Sikhs in India. It was adopted by the Sikhs of Punjab to defend against Moghul oppression in India during the time of the Sixth Sikh Guru. The effectiveness of Gatka has been proven with victories over the Gurkha hill chiefs, Afghanistani invaders and the armies of the Moghul empire in India.
