Nam Yang's CNY 2008 Demo, Lucas McArdle Iron Shirt Chi Kung Headbutt
Lucas McArdle, instructor of Nam Yang Pugilistic Association’s London Chinatown branch demonstrates his achievement in Shaolin Iron Shirt (aka Iron Body, Iron Vest) Chi Kung by performing an airborne headbutt through three concrete building blocks. This is an example of ‘iron head’ skill.
Iron Shirt Chi Kung is the discipline of training one’s chi (internal energy) to an extremely high level whereby it can be used to ‘reinforce’ the body and protect it from harm. Beating, stabbing, cutting and burning can all be withstood. This is a difficult and dangerous practise which should only ever be performed under the supervision of a very experienced master!
