Nam Yang's CNY 2008 Demo, Giles Spencer Iron Shirt Chi Kung, Human Battering Ram
Giles Spencer of Nam Yang Pugilistic Association UK’s Epsom branch, demonstrates his achievement in Shaolin Iron Shirt (aka Iron Body, Iron Vest) Chi Kung by performing the ‘human battering ram’ through 2 extra large, hard roof tiles. This is an example of ‘iron head’ skill.
Iron Shirt Chi Kung is the discipline of training one’s chi (internal energy) to an extremely high level whereby it can be used to ‘reinforce’ the body and protect it from harm. Beating, stabbing, cutting and burning can all be withstood. This is a difficult and dangerous practise which should only ever be performed under the supervision of a very experienced master!
