Nam Yang's CNY 2008 Demo, Iain Armstrong Iron Shirt Chi Kung

Iain Armstrong, chief instructor of Nam Yang Pugilistic Association UK, demonstrates his achievement in Shaolin Iron Shirt (aka Iron Body, Iron Vest) Chi Kung by first being chopped repeatedly with a large axe and then having a wooden baton broken over his groin (an example of the ‘iron egg’ skill.) The destructive power of the axe can clearly be seen as it destroys the concrete blocks on Iain’s body. Do not try this at home. You have been warned!
Iron Shirt Chi Kung is the discipline of training one’s chi (internal energy) to an extremely high level whereby it can be used to ‘reinforce’ the body and protect it from harm. Beating, stabbing, cutting and burning can all be withstood. This is a difficult and dangerous practise which should only ever be performed under the supervision of a very experienced master!
